Joy and Terry had a beautiful hometown wedding in Dayton, Ohio. It was an amazing day on so many levels. For a weekend it November, it should have been freezing. But it wasn’t. It was a gorgeous 65 degree day. Joy said she had prayed for good weather, but she wasn’t expecting as nice as it was. Their families said it was a sign. A sign of this union. Of God’s faithfulness. Of being blessed with more than you could ever imagine.

At the reception, person after person rose in a toast to Joy and Terry. To attest to their character, kindness, influence, and love. It was awe-inspiring. I too had tears and goosebumps.

Joy and Terry, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and love. May it always exceed your expectations.

Words do not seem fitting to capture the beauty of love shared between this couple. Ritchie and Heather are warm, funny, and completely enamoured with one another. Their day was filled with love and laughter—and it truly reflected them. There were so many beautiful moments. Heather walking down the aisle with her Dad as they each wipe away tears. Ritchie’s anxious and excited face as he finally sees his bride for the first time. A devoted bridal party made up of their closest friends and siblings. Heather revealing family wedding rings sewn in the lining of her wedding dress. Ritchie busting a serious move on the dance floor…more than once. It was a beautiful day in every way possible.

Jonah and I had the pleasure of working with our friends over at Farewell Photography, Eric & Nelle Farewell. Eric is an extremely talented photographer and a dear friend. And Nelle is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They are such a terrific pair and we had a great time shooting and hanging out with them.

We spent the weekend in Muskegon, Michigan to capture Jillian and Gabriel’s wedding. And it was all kinds of awesome. Sometimes love isn’t said, it’s felt. Jillian and Gabriel get one another. Their love is that contagious, gleeful, head-over-heels-in-love-with-my-best-friend kind of love. It was an honor to witness and capture.

Gabriel is from Brazil and much of his family made the trip up to Michigan for the wedding (we even learned a little Portuguese!). Jillian is from Michigan and planned a gorgeous wedding in her hometown. What a beautiful place! They had one of the largest (and fun) wedding parties I have ever seen. From the party bus to the dance floor, this close group of friends really knew how to have a great time.

Congrats Jillian and Gabriel! We wish you every happiness. And a big thanks to Eric and Nelle for the wonderful time. To use Eric’s favorite word: It was EPIC.
